Where Bristol’s Water Comes From

Have you ever wondered where our water come from and how does it reach us

Talks & debates

The talk will be of interest if you have ever wondered:

– Where does our water come from and how does it reach us?

– Who uses it, how much, and how do we compare with the rest of the world?

– What are the problems that have been solved and what are the problems for the future?

ICE and CIWEM members and non-members are welcome to attend. We would especially welcome anyone who would like to learn more about the engineering sector in general or perhaps maybe considering a future career in engineering, the water industry and the environment!

February’s talk by Anne-Marie Tuck, will continue the water sector theme, with an overview of the recent Durdham Down Combined Main project.

About the Speakers:

Patric Bulmer is Environment Manager for Bristol Water and has over 20 years’ experience in the water industry with a background in potable water science.

Rebekah Rice has worked in the water industry for 13 years, previously at the Environment Agency and overseas, and was part of the Water Resource Planning team at Bristol Water for over 3 years.
