Do15 - Henleaze, Stoke Bishop and Westbury-on-trym

The Do15 team have supported the fantastic Bristol Mumuration project on the Downs by artist Zoe Cameron. The team have created a template for young people to make a flapping starling at home.

Young people were invited to lead the opening procession to the installation on Saturday 17th October with their cardboard starlings. The Do15 Team attended Elmlea Primary school to help the Year 3 and Year 4 classes to make their own starlings.  The students made some colourful and very original designs and we’re hoping to see some of them at the parade on the 17th of October.

Community Event

Westbury-on-Trym Community Festival

On Saturday 9th May the Do15 Team headed to Westbury-on-Trym to meet local residents and gather more pledges for the #do15 Green Capital project at the fair organised by Holy Trinity Church. It was a bright and blustery day – luckily the team brought their sandbags. They were accompanied by a choir, Scottish dancing and Teddy Bears parachuting from the Church’s Spire!  They even got to chat to the Lord Mayor and get him to pledge to be greener in 2015. Thanks to everyone who joined us to make their bunting pieces and find out more about the project. A special thanks goes to Claire Waggett for letting us take part in such a friendly event.
