Bristol Hub

Bristol Hub

Bristol Hub is transforming students’ involvement with social and environmental challenges in Bristol and around the world. We are a catalyst, facilitating more students to do more, more effectively and for longer. We are part of Student Hubs, a national network with the mission to create a culture change in UK universities so that student-powered social change becomes the norm and not the exception – inspiring socially active citizens for life.

We’re helping Bristol to become a ‘low carbon city with a high quality of life for all’ by inspiring students about their power and potential to shape a better world; connecting them to opportunities to make a difference during their time at university, and supporting them to become civic leaders in their future lives and careers.

Bristol Hub mobilises the student population to tackle local social and environmental issues and we ensure the students’ activities are having a positive impact on beneficiaries at the same time as developing the student’s skills, critical awareness of issues and their employability.

Bristol Hub encourages students to become agents of change and by connecting students to the community we hope many more will stay in the city after they graduate, contributing further to the city’s reputation for creativity and social innovation.

“It’s fantastic news that Bristol is European Green Capital in 2015. It’s the perfect opportunity for more students to have a positive impact in the city during their time at university” Eleri, Bristol Hub Manager.

How can I get involved?

Students – Bristol Hub offers students the opportunity to address social and environmental challenges, to learn from sector leaders and to develop your own capacity to lead innovation and change, both now the future. If you’re interested in getting involved make sure you sign up to our newsletter The Week, which gives you a weekly round-up of all the social action opportunities at university and beyond. We have volunteering opportunities addressing educational disadvantage in the city or student-led conferences on sustainability, social enterprise and international development to name but a few!

Community Partners– We’re always looking to work with more community partners, whether that’s through working with you to provide volunteering placements or host interns. Get in touch with info@bristolhub.org if you’re interested in finding out more.
