Airbus is absolutely delighted to be an official supporter of Bristol European Green Capital 2015.
With quieter, more efficient aircraft, such as the A350 XWB - which is 25% more fuel efficient than current generation aircraft – we are leading the way in environmental performance, and leading the air transport sector to a sustainable future.
Our commitment to sustainable growth also extends to our site at Filton with new office facilities awarded BREEAM “very good”, and a new data centre using more than 80% less energy than its predecessor.
"This is a great opportunity for us, as a business, to show our dedication to the local community"
As an industry we have reduced CO2 emissions by more than 70% in the last 50 years and are working towards carbon neutral growth by 2020.
Robert Higham, Airbus' Project Manager for the involvement in Bristol Green Capital 2015, says:
"This is a great opportunity for us, as a business, to show our dedication to the local community.
"We are continuously using innovation throughout the business to improve, this is another opportunity to do this.
"I believe we can make a statement through the projects we run by applying the dynamicism and innovation we all show on a daily basis".
